Job Summary As a Senior Principal Engineer within the Core Product Services organization, you will lead and shape the engineering vision for horizontal platform services and tooling across the organization. The role focuses on full‑stack software architecture, infrastructure, and developer productivity across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will help drive engineering maturity and operational excellence across platforms and applications, while influencing teams through technical leadership and collaboration. This role requires deep experience with large‑scale systems, DevSecOps, and modern infrastructure. Responsibilities Set and model a high bar for technical excellence, fostering a culture of quality, innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement Lead the adoption and evolution of platform engineering, infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices Champion developer productivity and experience, including the vision for internal developer platforms Partner with product and engineering teams to define and evolve full‑stack development practices aligned with business strategy and growth Provide architectural leadership through collaboration and influence to ensure scalable, coherent platforms and clear boundaries between platform and application responsibilities Collaborate cross‑functionally to integrate risk awareness and operational resilience into the development lifecycle Mentor and guide principal and senior principal engineers, supporting growth, alignment, and technical excellence Requirements Leadership & Experience Demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and lead high‑performing engineering teams Inclusive leadership approach with strong collaboration and communication skills 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant technical leadership Proven success designing, building, and operating large‑scale platforms Technical Expertise Strong experience in full‑stack software architecture and modern infrastructure Deep knowledge of DevSecOps, including automation, CI/CD, containerization, cloud infrastructure, and AI‑enabled workflows Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and problem‑solving principles Experience designing and operating APIs, with familiarity with Kubernetes and identity technologies Experience with frontend technologies and an understanding of tradeoffs in an API‑first architecture Strong experience with Go and/or Java, and the ability and desire to learn new technologies Experience applying AI agents in software development environments to improve engineering efficiency or quality Education & Professional Background Strong foundation in software engineering and computer science principles demonstrated through professional experience, education, training, or equivalent practical expertise The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: United States - CA Bay Area : 221000 - 331000 USD / Annual United States - CA Non-Bay Area, AK, CT, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, VA, WA : 202000 - 304000 USD / Annual United States - Other posted locations not specifically listed : 184000 - 276000 USD / Annual Poland (Masovian) : 313000 - 517000 PLN / Annual Poland (Outside of Masovian) : 283000 - 469000 PLN / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs.
