About the role
Design and implement scalable software solutions with a focus on AWS and advanced Python development.
Salary: $112000 - 186000 per year Requirements: We need a bachelors degree in a related field plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination such as a masters degree with 2 years of experience, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience, or 16 years of related experience. We require 4+ years of Python development experience, including advanced async/await usage, FastAPI, multiprocessing, and production performance tuning. We need hands-on experience implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, tool definitions, and client integration patterns, with the ability to independently interpret and extend the specification. We need strong AWS expertise, including ECS Fargate, ElastiCache Redis, Secrets Manager, Route 53, ALB, ECR, Aurora Postgres, SSM Parameter Store, CloudWatch, and Kinesis Firehose. We need experience integrating with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, including OIDC federation, group membership retrieval via Graph API or JWT claims, and RBAC implementation. We need database integration and optimization experience across Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and SQL Server, including connection pooling, query tuning, and schema inspection. We need experience with distributed systems patterns such as circuit breakers, retry logic with exponential backoff, bulkhead isolation, Redis-backed state, and graceful degradation. We need container platform experience, including Docker multi-stage builds, ECS task definitions, non-root container hardening, and health endpoint implementation. We need REST API security experience, including JWT validation, rate limiting, input validation, and PII detection and masking. We need observability experience, including structured JSON logging, Prometheus instrumentation, distributed tracing concepts, and CloudWatch Logs Insights. We need version control and CI/CD experience with Git and GitHub Actions, including automated testing pipelines. Responsibilities: We will design, build, and optimize the central AI Gateway MCP server, which will serve as the single governed entry point for AI client connections. We will develop and maintain the Redis ElastiCache session layer that ties Microsoft Entra identity to role-based MCP tool access, including token handling, sliding TTL extension, per-user quotas, and distributed rate limiting. We will create the on-demand connector provisioning engine that spins up compute containers, establishes VPC-internal network paths, and retrieves credentials from AWS Secrets Manager when an AI agent requests a data source. We will build enterprise system connectors as MCP tool sets for Oracle DB, SharePoint Graph API, Rally, ServiceNow, and the vendor connector approval workflow. We will implement automated testing across unit, integration, load, and chaos testing, including support for 1,000+ concurrent users and connector fault-tolerance validation. We will build and operate the observability stack, including structured logging, Prometheus metrics, Kinesis Firehose to OpenSearch indexing, and Grafana dashboards for per-user, per-tool, and per-session audit trails. We will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including container image builds, ECS task definition updates, and blue/green deployments. We will own platform security controls, including Entra OIDC token validation, PII masking, WAF rule management, Secrets Manager integration with automated rotation, and secure API design aligned to OWASP practices. We will maintain and extend the existing Snowflake MCP codebase, including session management, RBAC, PII masking, configuration management, and secrets integration modules. We will develop troubleshooting and diagnostic tooling to support production operations. We will create documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks to support platform maintenance and service reliability.
