Senior Network Support Engineer

Salary: $80000 - 114000 per year Requirements: We need exceptional written and spoken English communication skills; French is an advantage. We are looking for proven experience in network support across routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs. We require hands-on knowledge of firewalls and Layer 1/OTN technologies. Familiarity with finance networking and market data environments is a plus. Experience with Juniper, Extreme, Nokia, Arista, and Cisco hardware is desirable. We need a strong understanding of IXPs, Tier 1 providers, and cloud connectivity such as Direct Connect. Deep knowledge of the TCP/IP stack and OSI model is essential. Strong security and firewall expertise, particularly with Fortigate and Juniper platforms, including DDoS mitigation, is required. Responsibilities: We serve as the primary technical contact for complex service delivery, working closely with project management from provisioning through handover. We proactively manage and resolve escalated incidents, service requests, and changes in line with our SLAs. We build and maintain strong customer relationships through clear, professional communication. We investigate technical faults and partner with senior engineers or third-party vendors to deliver timely resolution. We maintain accurate network documentation and produce internal and external reports. We take ownership of faults from initial report through to final closure. We support colleagues, contribute to team objectives, and assist wherever needed. We communicate with customers during urgent incidents and planned maintenance to support a smooth customer experience.
