Job Summary The Network Carrier Provisioning Specialist is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of wide area network (WAN) carrier services supporting Northwind Robotics’s internal infrastructure and customer environments. This role ensures reliable, timely, and cost‑effective delivery of global network connectivity services by coordinating with carrier vendors, internal network architects, project managers, sales teams, and customers. The position plays a critical operational and strategic role in maintaining service continuity, enabling new business, supporting customer growth, and strengthening Northwind Robotics’s global carrier relationships. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge of modern WAN services with strong organizational, communication, and vendor‑management capabilities. Job Role Ensure successful and disruption‑free delivery of all WAN connectivity services Maintain accurate visibility into Northwind Robotics’s global carrier inventory Strengthen carrier performance, accountability, and relationships Enable customer solutions through timely, well‑designed network provisioning Support revenue growth through sales and proposal assistance Job Responsibilities WAN Provisioning & Lifecycle Management Own the complete lifecycle of WAN circuits, including ordering, provisioning, implementation, changes, and disconnections for internal and external customers. Track and manage all carrier orders to ensure milestones, due dates, and service levels are met. Coordinate disconnects and service changes to ensure zero unintended impact to remaining services. Identify provisioning risks, delays, or technical constraints early and drive resolution with carriers and internal teams. Validate circuit delivery against design requirements and hand off services for operational readiness. Carrier Vendor Management Act as a primary operational interface with global WAN carrier vendors. Coordinate with carriers to ensure accurate service ordering, proper demarcation, and timely installation. Support Northwind Robotics management in maintaining strong carrier relationships, including participation in recurring vendor meetings. Escalate chronic service issues, performance gaps, or delivery risks and track them through resolution. Maintain current documentation of carrier contacts, escalation paths, and contractual considerations. Stakeholder Communication & Coordination Communicate clearly and proactively with project managers, customers, account teams, and internal stakeholders regarding provisioning status, timelines, and issues. Participate in project team meetings as required to ensure network readiness aligns with broader delivery timelines. Provide accurate status reporting to internal leadership and customers. Solution Design & Business Enablement Partner with Northwind Robotics lead network architects to determine optimal WAN solutions aligned to customer, performance, and cost requirements. Apply working knowledge of WAN technologies to recommend appropriate service types and access methods. Support sales, bid, and proposal efforts by providing WAN pricing, solution options, and comparative carrier analyses when required. Assist with evaluating new carrier services or technologies relevant to customer needs and Northwind Robotics strategy. Site Readiness & Local Coordination Determine requirements for local loop extensions or demarcation changes. Coordinate with local wiring and facilities teams to ensure site readiness for carrier delivery. Verify physical connectivity requirements are met prior to installation dates. Documentation & Operational Integrity Maintain accurate and current documentation for: WAN circuit inventory Carrier and vendor contact information Operational and support details related to installed services Ensure documentation supports efficient troubleshooting, auditing, and future planning. Contribute to process improvements related to provisioning workflows and documentation standards. Technology Environment The role supports a diverse, global WAN environment, including but not limited to: Internet Services Point‑to‑Point Ethernet / Wavelength Services MPLS SD‑WAN Public Cloud Connectivity (e.g., cloud on‑ramps) Multi‑carrier global environments (primarily U.S., with services in the UK, EU, India, and other regions) Cisco routing and switching platforms (knowledge and operational familiarity preferred) Mandatory(Technical Skills) Minimum 5 years of experience in WAN provisioning, carrier services, or network engineering. Strong understanding of WAN access technologies, including: Fiber, copper, and third‑party access models Direct and wholesale carrier arrangements Proven experience working in multi‑vendor, multi‑carrier network environments. Working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, with basic troubleshooting skills. Solid understanding of the technical, logistical, and administrative aspects of ordering and managing WAN services. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience. Required Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and time‑management skills; able to manage multiple concurrent orders and priorities. Excellent verbal communication skills; able to clearly explain status, risks, and options to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Produces clear, professional, and well‑structured written communications suitable for executive and customer review. Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to service accuracy and follow‑through. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams. Adaptable and responsive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. Willing and able to support standard U.S. business hours.
