Systel, Inc. is looking for a lead software developer to help build a development team to tackle critical software projects internally and R&D for external projects. The candidate will be overseeing day-to-day operations and working with stakeholders to prioritize projects and tasks. A successful candidate will need to be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and the implementation of software systems, processes, and policies.
You’ll be working with various departments to implement critical applications that will improve the organization’s manufacturing efficiency and impact the bottom line. You’ll also be responsible for new project research and development. The candidate must have good organizational skills and the ability to work without direct supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities (Work from Office Only):
Team Lead
– Experience in the different phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
– Organize the team around departmental and organizational priorities
– Define and enforce software development policies and procedures according to industry standards
– Ensure software development, deployment, and management are done according to department policy
– Responsible for meeting, measuring, and reporting team metrics and SLAs
– Work with stakeholders to identify quarterly and annual goals

Software Development
– Design and development of new features or applications

Degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field. Alternatively, vocational schooling with relevant coursework
