Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Responsible for HDD Teardown FA all customers from China.
– Owning of the mechanical failure analysis process and equipment.
– Documentation of all observations and conclusions through images, teardown analysis and possible cause of failure.
– Discussing the FA findings and communicating the next course of analysis.
– General housekeeping, including maintenance logs and calibration schedule for all lab equipment
– Ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
– Provide effective information on tool or process improvements related to FA.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
– Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
– 2-5 years of experience in hard disk drive or related industry
REQUIRED SKILLS:
– Strong written and verbal English communication skills
– Hands-on individual who enjoys lab work and performs analysis using high-power microscopes and precision equipment
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
– Basic knowledge of hard disk drive and head/disk interface
– Familiarity with analytical techniques: Raman, FTIR, SEM, and TOF-SIMS
– Familiarity with electrical failure analysis methodology and interpretation of findings
– Data analytical skills
