Senior Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities Lead the design and coordination of ACMV/HVAC, fire protection, hydraulic/plumbing and sanitary systems . Manage mechanical design deliverables from concept and detailed design through tender and construction stages. Prepare, review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, schedules and technical submissions. Ensure designs comply with project requirements, authority regulations, relevant codes, standards and company procedures. Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, civil, BIM and other engineering disciplines. Identify design risks, technical issues and coordination conflicts and develop practical solutions. Lead technical meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and other stakeholders. Review and provide technical guidance on the work of mechanical engineers, designers and drafting teams. Support tender clarifications, technical evaluations, construction-stage design matters and value engineering. Monitor project deliverables, timelines, design changes, scope requirements and cost considerations. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification. Minimum 6 years of mechanical design experience , preferably in a consultancy environment. Strong hands-on experience in ACMV/HVAC, fire protection and hydraulic/plumbing services . Experience working on large-scale building or infrastructure projects. Experience in rail, healthcare, commercial, institutional, industrial or data centre projects is an advantage. Good knowledge of relevant local authority requirements, codes of practice and international engineering standards. Experience reviewing mechanical calculations, drawings, specifications and technical submissions. Hands-on experience with relevant engineering design software and BIM platforms. Good understanding of MEP construction methods, cost considerations and site constraints. Experience supervising or mentoring engineers, designers and drafting teams. EA Number: 11C4879
