About the role

Design and develop Windows kernel-mode filter drivers for advanced security monitoring and enforcement.

Salary: $84000 - 122000 per year Requirements: We need at least 5 years of hands-on experience developing Windows kernel-mode drivers. We need practical experience with Windows filter driver development, including file system minifilters, registry filters, or network filters. We need a strong understanding of Windows system internals, including memory management, I/O subsystems, object management, process management, and related kernel components. We need solid C/C++ development skills. We need experience with the Windows Driver Kit (WDK) and kernel debugging tools. We need experience analyzing kernel crashes, memory dumps, and system behavior with WinDbg and similar technologies. We need cybersecurity industry experience, especially with endpoint protection, EDR, anti-malware, or system monitoring products. We need a strong grasp of code injection methods, hooking techniques, kernel exploitation approaches, and mitigation strategies. We need excellent problem-solving ability and a security-first engineering mindset. Preferred experience includes malware analysis, reverse engineering, rootkit detection, knowledge of Windows kernel threat models, secure coding for low-level systems, Microsoft driver signing and WHQL certification, open-source security contributions, and security research publications or community involvement. Responsibilities: We design and develop Windows kernel-mode filter drivers that enable advanced security monitoring and enforcement. We build and maintain file system minifilters, registry filters, network filters, and other low-level system components. We research Windows internals to implement advanced security capabilities and tamper-resistant protections. We partner with threat researchers and software engineers to deliver scalable endpoint security solutions. We debug complex kernel issues, analyze crash dumps, and improve performance using WinDbg, ETW, and related tools. We develop secure, reliable, and maintainable driver code that satisfies Microsoft signing and certification requirements. We track Windows platform updates and maintain compatibility across supported operating systems. We contribute to the design and evolution of next-generation endpoint protection technologies.
