Senior Java Developer, Banking, Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team supporting critical enterprise applications within a global banking environment. The role involves the design, development, enhancement, and production support of business-critical platforms, working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and infrastructure partners. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot. Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions. Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices. Support application deployments, release management, and change implementation activities. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including Level 3 support where required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across development, infrastructure, and business functions. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and platform modernization. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Minimum 8 years of software development experience. Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and Linux/Unix . Experience building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices. Experience with Git, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies . Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud technologies, containerization, and microservices architecture. Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS environments. Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and application performance management tools. Experience within financial services, capital markets, or banking environments is advantageous.
