We are looking for Senior Java Azure Developer - Remote / Telecommute for our client in Richmond, VA Job Title: Senior Java Azure Developer - Remote / Telecommute Job Location: Richmond, VA Job Type: Contract Pay Range: $55.00hr - $60.00hr Job Overview: The organization is seeking an experienced Java/Azure Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java technologies, cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure, microservices architecture, and modern DevOps practices. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and related frameworks. Build and deploy cloud-native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services. Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and related technologies. Implement secure, scalable, and high-performance application architectures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams. Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting activities. Automate CI/CD pipelines and support cloud deployment strategies. Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and organizational guidelines. Required Skills: 8+ years of experience in Java development. Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices. Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure DevOps. Strong knowledge of REST APIs, API Gateway, and integration patterns. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments. Proficiency in SQL and relational databases. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Strong understanding of cloud security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms. Preferred Skills: Experience with Kafka, Event Hub, or messaging platforms. Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Azure certifications are preferred. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
