About the role
Lead integration and test activities for imaging systems, mentor junior engineers, and manage technical program requirements.
Salary: $110000 - 204000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Graduate degree with at least 4 years of related experience preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience is acceptable. Capability to obtain a US DOD Secret Clearance, requiring US citizenship. Proficient with technical software including IBM Rational DOORS, Test Rail, and the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence). Familiar with test hardware such as DC Power Supplies, Digital Multi-Meters, and Spectrum Analyzers. Understanding of systems engineering principles. Knowledge of Electro-Optical Imaging testing and related fields. Experienced in project and team leadership. Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership as the I&T Lead, collaborating with the IPT lead on design and development issues. Offer technical guidance to engineering development teams and suggest improvements based on experiences from previous projects. Manage Control Account Manager responsibilities for System Qualification Work Breakdown Structure, including schedule management and work estimation. Work closely with I&T commodity teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Attend and support internal and external design reviews like System Design Review, Preliminary Design Review, and Critical Design Review. Contribute to the Risk and Opportunities register for both development and production programs. Generate test validation metrics for Engineering Program Reviews. Assist in business development by preparing proposals for Submarine and Surface Imaging Systems. Mentor junior engineers on the I&T Engineering team. Prepare and deliver technical presentations to a diverse range of customers. Lead customer discussions in various forums including the Systems Engineering Working Group and Test Readiness Review. Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and documentation including requirements traceability and test cases. Conduct verification and validation of systems from component to system level, including troubleshooting and documentation. Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with Operations on Failure Trend analysis to quickly identify and resolve issues. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
