Senior Full Stack Engineer (React, NestJS, TypeScript)

November – December: Continuation of training on-site in Manila. Standard work arrangement resumes thereafter, in line with the assigned project’s requirements. Requirements, Duties and Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain full-stack features using React on the frontend and NestJS (Node.js/TypeScript) on the backend Architect scalable, well-tested APIs and services, and contribute to our data modeling and system design Own features from technical design through deployment and monitoring in production Write clean, maintainable, well-tested TypeScript code and participate in code reviews Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions Identify and address performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and scalability challenges Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and help raise the technical bar across the team Contribute to engineering best practices, tooling, and CI/CD processes Familiarity and relevant experience with the insurance industry Conduct Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions and training for team members and stakeholders, including during the Singapore (October) and Manila (November–December) training engagements. Develop and deliver training materials, guides, and documentation to support upskilling and smooth knowledge handover. Requirements 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience Strong hands-on experience with React (hooks, state management, component architecture) Strong hands-on experience with NestJS or a similar Node.js framework (Express, Fastify) Deep proficiency in TypeScript, with a solid grasp of type-safe design across frontend and backend Experience designing and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar) Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code Experience with microservices architecture and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.) Contributions to open-source projects or a strong personal project portfolio Prior experience mentoring or leading engineers Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and driving successful project outcomes. Prior experience conducting Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions, training, or facilitation for teams and/or clients is highly preferred. Willingness and availability to travel to Singapore for training in October, and to continue training in Manila from November to December. NOTE: The list of qualifications is a guide.
