About the Team: Nimbus Data Systems B2B is one of the company's fastest-growing divisions, scaling across four verticals — Bulk, Smart Fridge, Healthcare, and Partnership — with a bold H2 2026 north star of $44M in revenue and 120% retention rate. Our engineering mission is equally ambitious: converge two acquired platforms into a single Nimbus Data Systems codebase. B2B is the clearest example of that journey in the company — two legacy stacks, two acquired companies, converging into one. It's a high-ownership environment where engineers build at the intersection of logistics, IoT, and consumer software, with computer vision and AI-driven ordering systems already on the near-term roadmap. The Role: Design and implement full-stack features across our B2B platform, collaborating closely with product and operations. Contribute to the convergence of legacy stacks into the core Nimbus Data Systems codebase, participating in architectural discussions and owning well-scoped initiatives. Help automate and simplify operationally complex processes — from smart fridge inventory management to healthcare meal delivery workflows. Write reliable, well-tested, and maintainable code that scales with a fast-growing business. Collaborate with and support junior engineers through code reviews and day-to-day pairing. Be hands-on and build products used by thousands of corporate customers from day one. Our Current Stack: Languages: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript Frameworks: ReactJS, NestJS Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, MySQL Methodology: Agile / Service-Oriented Architecture Responsibilities: Build and iterate on platform features within our JavaScript/Java stack that drive meaningful business outcomes across B2B verticals. Ensure the features you own are scalable, reliable, and efficient — and raise issues proactively when you identify risks. Manage and maintain database schemas and queries, ensuring they are optimized for performance and reliability. Participate actively in code reviews, helping maintain high standards across the team. Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks in your areas of ownership. Partner with Product, Operations, CX, and other teams to refine requirements and ship features end-to-end. Contribute to documentation, deployment processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support the on-call rotation to help the business run 24/7 AI Usage & Engineering Excellence At Nimbus Data Systems B2B, AI is not a buzzword — it's part of how we build. We expect our engineers to actively integrate AI tools into their daily workflow to move faster and build better. Expected (day-to-day): Use AI-powered coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude / Codex) to accelerate development, code reviews, and debugging. Apply AI to automate repetitive engineering tasks — test generation, boilerplate, documentation, and internal tooling. Leverage AI assistants to explore solutions, prototype quickly, and improve code quality. Stay current on AI tooling best practices and share learnings with the team. Nice to have (growth signal): Experience building AI-powered product features (e.g., smart recommendations, automated ordering, anomaly detection). Prior work integrating LLM-based workflows or automation pipelines into production systems. Interest in growing into a technical leadership role and helping shape AI adoption practices on the team. Minimum Requirements: Solid experience designing and building production-grade backend services, REST APIs, and full-stack web applications. Strong proficiency with NodeJS / NestJS , ReactJS , AWS , and MySQL (or equivalent relational databases). Experience with Java in a production environment. Good understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture. Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) — we're a distributed, international team. Preferred Requirements: Previous experience leading or mentoring teams is highly valued. Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams across product, design, and operations. You enjoy working in small teams in a fast-paced startup environment, and are excited to grow into broader ownership over time. Experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira. Strong communication skills — able to clearly articulate trade-offs and technical decisions. Exposure to observability tools (e.g., Datadog), infrastructure-as-code, or cloud platform operations. Familiarity with IoT, hardware integrations, or computer vision systems is a plus given our Smart Fridge roadmap.
