Senior Fullstack Engineer – Payments Experience Location: London (Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote) Build the Future of Global Payments Every day, thousands of businesses rely on our platform to move money across borders. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer in our Payments Experience (PayE) team, you won’t just write code—you’ll architect the high-scale web applications and platform tooling that enable our entire engineering org to ship fast, reliable features. If you thrive on end-to-end ownership, enjoy solving complex architectural puzzles, and hold strong technical opinions (weakly held), this is your space to make a direct impact on our global product. How You’ll Make an Impact Scale the Core: Architect and evolve our next-generation platform channels, balancing new feature delivery with long-term system stability. Drive Architecture: Lead service and component design through our collaborative Request for Comments (RFC) process. True Ownership: Live the "you build it, you run it" ethos—owning everything from local code and containerization to CI/CD pipelines and production monitoring. Elevate the Team: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture focused on clean code, testability, and continuous delivery. What You’ll Bring Track Record: 5+ years building high-performance, client-facing web applications. Backend Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Python , FastAPI , PostgreSQL , Redis , and secure RESTful APIs. Frontend Proficiency: Mastery of TypeScript , React , Jest , and Storybook . (Experience with Micro-Frontends is a massive bonus). DevOps & Cloud: Comfort with AWS , Docker , Kubernetes , and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code. Engineering Mindset: Strong grasp of system design, scalable integrations, and fundamental algorithms/patterns.
