Location: Remote from LatAm (preferred) Working hours: Full-time, aligned w/ Eastern or Central Time business hours (EST, CST). We are headquartered in Charlottesville, VA, with a QA/testing center in Panama City, Panama, and a remote office in Bogotá, Colombia. With primary operations in North and South America, we serve clients around the globe. Our team has always been remote, which fuels our passion for real-time communications. We are looking for an action-oriented Senior DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing DevOps practices in cloud environments to join our team. Experience with VoIP, WebRTC, and/or building AI agent infrastructure is highly valuable. 💬 Fluent English is a must! B2+ or above is required. Key Responsibilities Configure and manage cloud-based infrastructure, interconnecting different accounts in different regions of AWS for web and mobile applications Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing, using a combination of Github and AWS Codebuild Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of real-time applications, running scripts in simulators and in actual mobile devices connected remotely Establish and maintain observability systems including logging, monitoring, metrics collection, and alerting Ensure system reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and incident response planning Participate in daily standups with teammates and weekly demos with clients Collaborate with development teams to optimize build processes and deployment strategies Assist in maintaining security best practices across infrastructure and application deployments Technical Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing DevOps practices in cloud environments, with a strong focus on CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible Proficient with REST APIs, Webhooks, Docker/Kubernetes, and IaaS platforms in AWS Strong experience in containerization, orchestration, and automation using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch, Datadog) and setting up logging, monitoring, and alerts Solid understanding of database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) and data storage solutions (S3, EBS) Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols, including OSI layers, TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing Experience with VoIP and/or WebRTC applications is preferred Experience building infrastructure to support AI agents is a plus Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience General Qualifications Fluent English (B2+), both written and spoken Proactive, professional, respectful, and courteous communication An agile mindset with the initiative and resourcefulness to quickly adapt to unexpected challenges, overcome technology limitations, and provide timely solutions in a strong R&D environment Accustomed to work following Scrum or Kanban frameworks Ability to work remotely with headset/camera equipment, responsive during working hours, a quiet place to work and reliable internet connection Originally posted on Himalayas
