Lead SQL optimization and design schemas using AWS RDS/Aurora and DynamoDB.
📋 Description Act as SME for database engines, storage, and data placement. Lead SQL optimization; fix bottlenecks, indexes, and plans. Design/scale schemas using AWS RDS/Aurora and DynamoDB. Analyze DB internals, memory, replication lag, locking, and IO. Mentor teams; set standards for indexing and schema configurations. Collaborate with DB SRE to optimize queries and IaC. 🎯 Requirements Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field. 8+ years in database operations or data platforms. Deep experience with AWS RDS, Aurora and NoSQL (DynamoDB). Proficiency with monitoring tools: Datadog, CloudWatch, DevOps Guru. Proficient in Python or Java.
