Senior Data Scientist, Investment Distribution

Salary: $84000 - 156000 per year Requirements: We typically look for 5 to 7 years of relevant experience along with a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. We require strong hands-on skills in SQL, Python or SAS, and data visualization tools such as Power BI. We value solid knowledge of mathematics, statistics, operations research, and machine learning. We expect advanced capability in big data, data visualization, programming, data wrangling, and data preprocessing. We look for excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and influence skills. Experience or knowledge in asset management, sales, or financial institutions is an asset. We also value strong creative thinking, critical thinking, ethical judgment, and data-driven decision making. Responsibilities: We use advanced analytics, machine learning, deep learning, and AI techniques to extract insights from large structured and unstructured datasets. We design and build new data modeling processes and predictive solutions that support better business decisions. We manage data visualizations and dashboards as part of our daily work. We mine data sources, assess the feasibility of AI and ML solutions, and improve how organizational data is processed and used. We analyze large volumes of information to identify patterns, trends, and business opportunities. We develop forecasting systems and machine learning algorithms, while exploring new tools and technologies for innovative solutions. We partner with product teams, data engineers, and investment distribution teams to deliver analytics solutions and support business planning. We provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support to business groups across the organization. We use sound judgment to diagnose and solve problems, work independently, and handle non-routine situations. We may take on broader responsibilities as needed.
