Senior Data Scientist

Salary: $115,400 - 192,300 per year Requirements: We require a masters degree plus 7–10 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 6+ years of related experience. We look for an advanced or masters-level education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline. We need hands-on experience with large language models and transformer-based architectures such as BERT, RoBERTa, and T5. We expect proficiency with big data platforms and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or AWS. We value experience applying LLMs including ChatGPT, GPT-3.5, Claude, and Mistral. We seek strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide and support junior data scientists and work across functions. We require solid experience with machine learning methods, including deep learning, gradient boosting, and random forests. We expect advanced programming ability in Python, R, or other relevant languages for data analysis. Responsibilities: We work closely with data scientists and engineers to design, build, and deploy AI solutions. We lead the development of advanced AI and machine learning models to address complex business challenges. We analyze large datasets to uncover patterns and trends that inform AI development. We partner with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions align with business objectives and customer needs. We evaluate and create new frameworks while defining methods and governance. We mentor junior data scientists and share best practices in AI and machine learning. We collaborate with product leaders to apply data science solutions. We lead small to medium-sized teams, either directly or indirectly. We define projects and oversee their execution as a subject matter expert.
