Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who is passionate about taking full ownership of designing and building data solutions end-to-end, from understanding requirements to delivering production-ready systems that last. Key Responsibilities Play a key role in establishing our new Data Engineering team and translate business needs into scalable data solutions Design, develop, and maintain efficient data models and end-to-end data pipelines Lead the transformation of legacy, distributed data environments into a centralized and modern data platform, taking solutions from concept through deployment Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, clearly communicating technical approaches and ensuring shared understanding throughout the delivery process Promote engineering excellence by advocating for robust, maintainable solutions and applying best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), clean architecture, and proven design principles Drive the adoption of AI-powered development tools, including GitHub Copilot and internal AI assistants, to enhance delivery speed, code quality, and team productivity What We're Looking For You'll thrive in this role if you are someone who: Takes initiative and enjoys exploring business challenges independently, asking insightful questions to fully understand requirements before proposing solutions Feels accountable for the complete solution lifecycle—from architecture and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements Has a strong understanding of data modelling and modern data warehouse design principles Thinks beyond immediate requirements, focusing on scalable, standardized, and sustainable solutions rather than quick fixes Embraces emerging technologies and actively leverages AI to improve engineering efficiency and software quality Required Experience & Skills Proven background in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing, with experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms Strong expertise in designing reliable, scalable, and easy-to-maintain data warehouse architectures Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Apache Airflow Confidence in owning projects from business requirements through development, testing, and production deployment Ability to work closely with business users to understand their challenges and translate them into practical, high-quality data solutions Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, workflow orchestration, and modern software engineering practices within data platforms
