Senior Data Engineer

Salary: $82000 - 153000 per year Requirements: We need 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, along with an IT education and/or relevant certifications. We need hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development and testing, as well as data warehousing concepts. We need hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL, Python, Spark, and Scala. We need experience with SSIS, Glue, cloud storage and compute services such as AWS or Azure, Hadoop, and Netezza. We need experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in both batch and streaming environments. We need experience with data analysis, data mapping, and data profiling. We need familiarity with AI concepts, GenAI, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI-enabled tools in the SDLC. We need experience in Agile delivery, including JIRA. Experience in a large enterprise environment is an advantage. Experience engaging with senior leaders is an advantage. Experience in highly regulated industries is an advantage. Responsibilities: We lead the planning, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of data and AI products. We partner with business stakeholders to translate functional and non-functional requirements into data and AI solutions. We provide technical direction on design decisions and ensure alignment with standards and roadmaps. We guide junior and intermediate developers with clear technical leadership. We identify, track, and carry out regression testing for defects. We drive process improvement initiatives to strengthen our delivery and deployment capabilities. We build frameworks, automation scripts, and reusable code to accelerate development. We mentor team members, share knowledge, and help build communities of practice.
