Senior Data Analyst (Big Data & Data Modelling) About the role: You will join an environment focused on big data analysis, data modelling, and requirements management. You will act as a bridge between business and technical teams, supporting the design of robust data solutions. Your role includes analyzing complex data sets and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality data products. Responsibilities: Conduct IT and research data analysis as well as data modelling. Analyze functional and non-functional requirements. Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. Collaborate with developers, architects, and IT analysts. Analyze data models and ensure data compliance with business requirements. Work with large Big Data platforms and extensive data sets. Support the design and improvement of data solutions. Participate in requirement refinement and stakeholder discussions. Ensure transparency and synchronization between business and IT teams. Promote continuous improvement of analytical and data-related processes. Requirements: Experience as a Senior Data Analyst. Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Practical experience with Big Data platforms and large datasets. Familiarity with technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala, PySpark, HQL. Skills in data modelling and data analysis. Experience with ETL processes and data requirements analysis. Knowledge of standard data models (e.g., Canonical Data Model). Ability to gather, refine, and document business and technical requirements. Experience collaborating with development teams, architects, and analysts. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English. Nice to have: Knowledge of Python, Java, or R. Experience with data formats such as JSON and AVRO. Knowledge of DB2 or Oracle databases. Familiarity with Jira and Bitbucket. Experience in the banking or financial services sector.
