Senior Citrix Administrator

Salary: $95,000 - 155,000 per year Requirements: Five years of experience as a Windows systems administrator or engineer, including expertise with Citrix XenApp, NetScaler Gateway, StoreFront, and Director. Three years of experience automating administrative tasks with PowerShell. Three years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex applications and web servers, including IIS and Apache. Three years of experience with complex networking solutions and a strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and SNMP. Three years of experience supporting cybersecurity practices, including STIGs, SRGs, RMF, SCA-V, and CORA assessments. Three years of experience managing enterprise Active Directory structures and creating and maintaining complex Group Policy Objects (GPOs). Three years of experience developing and following SOPs for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting. Three years of experience configuring and supporting services such as DNS, SFTP, SMTP, and NTP. Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills. Demonstrated experience supporting government customers, agencies, or contracts in federal environments, including the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies, or military organizations. Experience on the same or a similar contract is highly desirable. CompTIA Security+ certification. Computing Environment certification, such as MCSE, Server+, CCNA, Red Hat, or Palo Alto; this requirement may be waived for 30 days after joining the project. Secret IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive clearance or Secret Tier 3 (T3) investigation; U.S. citizenship is required. Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience. Responsibilities: Manage, maintain, deploy, and support Citrix solutions in a mixed Windows Server 2019/2022 enterprise environment. Design, install, and maintain Citrix components, including XenApp, NetScaler Gateway, StoreFront, and Director. Implement system hardware and software, and maintain technical instructions, SOPs, and policies. Monitor, tune, and harden systems to support performance and security. Track performance metrics, prepare utilization reports, and identify issues requiring corrective action. Recommend and implement improvements to system efficiency and availability. Support hardware and software throughout their lifecycle, including firmware updates and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot and maintain complex applications and web services, including IIS and Apache. Automate routine administrative work with PowerShell scripts. Collaborate with other teams and foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. The role is based in an office at Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, Virginia, with a Monday–Friday day-shift schedule; occasional evening or weekend work may be needed to meet program and contract needs. The target salary range is $95,000–$155,000, with the final amount based on factors such as experience, skills, education, contract parameters, and organizational requirements.
