Senior BI Developer

Salary: $139000 - 173000 per year Requirements: We require an active, verifiable Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. We require an active DoD 8140/8570 baseline certification that meets IAT Level II at the time of hire, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or CySA+. We seek a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or another related quantitative discipline. A related masters degree may count in place of two years of experience. We require 8–10 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analysis, data engineering, or data science. We need 4+ years of hands-on experience delivering enterprise solutions with Power BI and Power Automate. We expect strong SharePoint Online expertise, including metadata management, lookup structures, custom columns, permissions and inheritance, and API/OData querying. We look for solid data modeling knowledge, including star schemas, facts, dimensions, and performance tuning. We prefer experience with Army Vantage or Palantir Foundry, including building pipelines or analytics products such as Object Explorer, Contour, or Notepad. We need the ability to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions. We value the ability to produce accurate, repeatable analytics in secure, compliance-focused environments. We expect clear communication with both technical teams and senior stakeholders. We require passing our pre-employment qualification process. Responsibilities: We design, build, and support automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to coordinate data synchronization, transformation, and operational reporting. We architect data extraction and integration from custom SharePoint Online lists, libraries, and Power Apps, including approaches that address large list view thresholds. We use Power Query (M) to ingest, clean, reshape, merge, and optimize semi-structured and nested datasets, including JSON, for analytics-ready models. We develop, publish, and maintain enterprise dashboards and interactive reports in Power BI (IL5) and Army Vantage (Palantir Foundry). We write advanced DAX measures for custom calculations, time intelligence, KPI tracking, and behavioral or operational analytics. We blend SharePoint-based data with Army enterprise systems of record within Army Vantage to enable cross-domain decision-making. We implement and enforce governance and security controls, including row-level security in Power BI and alignment with SharePoint permission structures and inheritance. We monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize scheduled refreshes and pipeline performance, adding resilient error-handling logic to prevent failures. We serve as a BI and Power Platform subject matter expert, mentoring junior analysts and guiding development standards, documentation, and data governance.
