Senior Backend Engineer (AWS) About the role We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (AWS) to build and run enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications on AWS for a regulated-sector programme in Singapore. Key responsibilities Design and develop RESTful APIs, microservices and backend integration services Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including query optimisation and data integrity Build event-driven integrations using message queues Apply software design patterns, enterprise architecture and secure coding practices Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes Contribute to GitLab CI/CD pipelines within Agile delivery teams Debug, troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues What you will bring 4 to 7 years of backend software development experience building enterprise-grade applications Python, Node.js or Java RESTful APIs and microservices Relational and NoSQL databases Message queues and event-driven architecture Software design patterns and secure coding AWS cloud-native development Docker and Kubernetes GitLab, CI/CD and Agile practices Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills Qualifications & certifications Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT or related field Work arrangement Location: Singapore, on-site at client premises Employment type: Contract / Permanent / Full Time Working days: Monday to Friday The successful candidate must be able to obtain the required government security clearance before starting Candidates with existing CAT security clearance will be preferred Interested candidates can send their CV directly to [email protected]
