The last two decades have seen an explosion in new payment services - from digital wallets, mobile payments, and open banking, to Buy Now Pay Later and crypto. Great for consumers! But, incredibly complex for merchants and developers. That’s where Keystone AI comes in.
Keystone AI is the world's first automation platform for payments. With Keystone AI, merchants and developers have all the underlying infrastructure and "lego blocks" they need to build the best buying experiences for their customers. Any developer can build a connection on Keystone AI; merchants then simply 'click and connect' to the services they need to build their desired payment flows within their Keystone AI dashboard.

What would the role involve?
– Build our core back end payment processing engine
– Design and build highly secure, fault tolerant API's
– Work on system design and architecture
– Work closely with other engineers to build a state of the art end to end system
– Leading internal projects with product manager's and cross functional teams
– Taking ownership of key technology decisions, building for scale and optimising for output
– Conducting code reviews and continuously look at ways of improving our ways of working
– Developing deep payments expertise, always looking for ways to optimise our merchant developer experience
– Creating detailed internal documentation for the projects you work on
What are we looking for?
– Experience building high performance, distributed systems in Python
– Experience designing and building API's
– Security minded with experience of driving and using modern development practices
– We'd also love for you to know about cloud infrastructure (we use AWS), Terraform, Kubernetes and Gitlab, although having experience with all of these is not essential
– Passion for beautiful, well tested code
– In-depth understanding of the entire development process (design, development and deployment)
– Highly motivated self-starter who values autonomy and getting things done
– Someone comfortable challenging how we do things and bringing new ideas to the table
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Experience working in a fast-paced environment

– Our engineering teams work fully remotely across Europe (for now!) and operate within local timezones - if you are not based in Europe but would still like to apply please let us know in your application
