We’ve got thousands of active agents with hundreds joining monthly, and we plan to accelerate our growth. Role Overview: The focus of our team is our flagship product – the Carrier Store. This is the first touchpoint for independent agents on our platform, designed to make discovering and accessing insurance carriers seamless and highly personalized. We don’t believe in blind matching; our platform handles detailed vetting forms, and uses smart recommendation algorithms to connect them with the right partners. As a Senior Backend Engineer in this role, you will own the vetting, and access automation. This is a heavy, core backend domain where quality is non-negotiable and you cannot afford to make mistakes. You will work on critical funnel systems—like our Discovery path—which operates under heavy load. If you thrive in a high-ownership environment with fast-paced priorities, heavy core logic, and continuous product discovery under heavy load – you’ve come to the right place. 🚀 What You’ll Do: Drive Access Automation & SSO: You will implement SSO solutions and API integrations to overhaul manual carrier processes—scaling systems that currently rely on everything from raw APIs to carrier-managed Google Sheets. Tackle Complex Challenges: You will dive into deep architectural tasks, such as rebuilding licenses and access-sharing structures. This means doing the gritty, meticulous work of analyzing the legacy state, mapping out the target architecture, and executing it safely. Manage Critical Funnel & Side Domains: You will own critical funnel paths (sign-up, onboarding, producer state automations) along with crucial side domains like compliance, team member features, and legal access regulations. Balance High Velocity with Reliability: You will navigate a highly dynamic environment with shifting priorities, ensuring that urgent compliance or SSO requests are handled without compromising onboarding funnel reliability. Communicate & Collaborate Universally: You will actively participate in technical discussions and product discovery, translating product requirements into architecture and potentially communicating directly with external clients. We might be a match: You have 6+ years of commercial experience in software development with deep proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL , and asynchronous system architecture . You have reached a level of technological and professional maturity — we are looking for a true heavyweight backend engineer who has worked with difficult, demanding systems and has the resilience to tackle complex architectural puzzles. You possess a strong theoretical foundation — you know design patterns inside out, love sitting down to design clean architecture from scratch, and have a sharp eye for detail. You favor teamwork, cooperation, and mentoring over solo development — we don't want "lone wolf" experts, but rather independent problem solvers who are excellent team players, have outstanding communication skills, and bring a good vibe (and yes, memes are always welcome!). You have a Startup Mindset with a high sense of ownership, an ability to prioritize under pressure, and the drive to improve existing solutions. You possess a growth mindset and you are not afraid to dive deep into legacy code when it’s necessary to safely introduce structural changes. You are familiar with modern LLM tools and know how to incorporate them into your day-to-day workflow, or you have a strong willingness to learn. You are based in Poland with flexibility for partial US time zone overlap . You possess excellent communication skills with fluency in both English (C1) and Polish (C2).
