Senior Backend & Full Stack Developer

Salary: $142,000 - 182,000 per year Requirements: Full-stack generalist with experience taking a product from 0 to 1. Strong back-end development skills, including experience with SST, Drizzle, Node.js, AWS services such as SQS, EventBridge, and Lambda, SQL databases, and database schema design. Strong problem-solving skills. Able to work independently and own projects or substantial areas of a codebase. Experience building paid products and services is preferred. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical problems, constraints, and timelines clearly. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment. Entrepreneurial and willing to take a hands-on approach to getting work done. Responsibilities: Design, build, test, and ship product experiences from concept through production. Work across the stack, following features from the interface through the API to the database. Use AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to explore solutions, draft plans, scaffold components, and refactor, applying sound judgment to maintain quality. Prototype quickly and validate work with patients and care teams, using feedback to refine solutions, particularly in sensitive clinical contexts. Build scalable, reusable architecture and take ownership of the codebase. Develop transparent, reliable systems that clearly communicate how AI and automation serve patients and providers. Improve performance, accessibility, and reliability by debugging and optimizing software. Document effective AI prompts, patterns, and workflows to help the team work efficiently without compromising patient outcomes.
