Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Back-End Software Engineer with deep technical expertise and a strong sense of ownership. You will play a key role in designing and developing robust back-end systems, contributing to architectural decisions, and ensuring high standards in performance, scalability, and security. You will work extensively with third-party integrations and external APIs, ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable connectivity across systems. Additionally, you will contribute to AI-driven initiatives, helping integrate intelligent services and data-driven capabilities into our platform. The ideal candidate is adaptable, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working across a diverse tech stack including Java, Node.js, C++, and TypeScript. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain complex back-end systems. Build and maintain secure, scalable integrations with third-party services and external APIs. Contribute to AI-related initiatives, including integrating AI services and supporting data-driven features. Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making. Work independently to solve complex problems and implement features with high quality and reliability. Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. Implement and follow DevOps best practices, managing AWS infrastructure and services. Promote high standards in code quality, CI/CD, and deployment processes. Utilise Docker and similar containerisation tools to streamline development and deployment. Monitor and analyse system performance using tools such as Datadog, proactively identifying areas for improvement. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years focused on back-end development. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with a high level of ownership. Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating effectively with remote teams. Strong expertise in multiple programming languages, including Java, Node.js, C++, and TypeScript. Solid understanding of DevOps practices and AWS services, including deployment, monitoring, and scaling. Extensive experience with Docker and containerisation tools. Familiarity with logging and analytics tools such as Datadog. Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and experience contributing to full-stack solutions is considered an advantage. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the trading or financial services industry. Familiarity with front-end frameworks and how they interact with back-end systems.
