Senior Application Developer (Django Python) Banking /Contract

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Python Django. Build secure, scalable, and high-performance REST APIs and backend services. Develop and implement complex business logic, including risk calculations, workflow automation, dashboards, and data quality controls. Create and maintain responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks. Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and UX teams to deliver intuitive user experiences. Ensure application performance, cross-browser compatibility, and scalability. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to product enhancements and technical improvements. Maintain software engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, security, performance monitoring, and documentation. Support CI/CD pipelines, release management, and production deployments. Provide Level 3 production support and troubleshoot critical application issues within agreed service levels. Contribute to system optimization, security compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Around 5-10+ years of software development experience Hands-on experience with Python Django Framework. Proven experience working with MariaDB/MySQL in high-volume transaction environments. Good understanding of RESTful API development and integration. Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern web development practices. Experience working in Linux environments and using Git for version control. Familiarity with web servers such as NGINX or Apache. Exposure to JavaScript frameworks and frontend development technologies. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of microservices architecture. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing, and release management. Exposure to Java, Angular, React, and cloud-based platforms. Awareness of application security practices, including authentication, encryption, and fraud prevention. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Thankyou for your interest!
