Job Summary: The Senior AI Solutions Architect will be responsible for identifying, developing, and deploying technical AI/ML solutions that drive measurable impact across Northwind Robotics ’s portfolio companies and have a positive effect on their clients and product end users. This role requires deep technical expertise in practical AI/ML, combined with a strong understanding of business-building, particularly financial drivers. The ideal candidate will have experience taking AI solutions from research and prototypes, into production in mission-critical environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and maintainability. This is a high-visibility role, you will be a key contributor to Northwind Robotics ’s AI growth strategy. Professional development is an integral part of the Northwind Robotics culture, and you’ll draw on your prior experience in building and mentoring technical teams (including third-party partners) to help with future expansion plans. You will directly contribute to the technical implementation, growth and transformation of all businesses under Northwind Robotics , driving change across the global people transportation vertical. Job Description: Full-Stack AI/ML Development & Deployment Design and implement production-grade AI/ML solutions, covering data ingestion, model development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. Develop end-to-end MLOps pipelines, ensuring automation, reproducibility, and scalability. Advise on and help to optimizeproduction AI models for real-world constraints, such as latency, resource usage, and regulatory compliance. Deploy AI solutions on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise infrastructure. SpecificIndustry Applications You will apply AI/ML and other analysis and automation techniques to complex problem domains within the Northwind Robotics group of companies, including: Computer Vision (object detection, image segmentation, anomaly detection, text extraction). Scheduling & Planning (resource allocation, constraint optimization, fleet routing). Deep Learning & LLMs (transformers, reinforcement learning, generative AI for a range of text-based applications). Predictive Analytics (time-series and demand forecasting, risk assessment). Prior experience in high-uptime, mission-critical industries such as transportation, logistics, healthcare, defense, high energy physics research, or manufacturing. Change Management & Results Focus Work directly with engineering teams to ensure smooth transition from lab to production. Conduct training seminars for both technical non-technical stakeholders on AI capabilities, methods, tools, and governance. Implement technical guardrails for responsible, safe and ethical use of AI/ML within Northwind Robotics company products and experiments. Lead by influence; be a trusted authority. Assist Northwind Robotics ’s Head of AI and the AI Program Manager to develop and refine financial models to quantify the impact of AI investments. Align AI projects with strategic goals, ensuring measurable business outcomes. Required Skills & Experience Experience 7+ years of progressively senior experience, deploying AI/ML and/or automation solutions, with at least 3 years working on production deployments of AI models and tools in live products with hundreds of users. Experience working on production grade products in a high-uptime, mission-critical environment with large-scale AI systems used by thousands of users. Proven track record of translating AI research into deployable, financially viable solutions. Prior experience working in logistics, transportation, transit, healthcare, defense, or manufacturing, or similar. Technical Skills Working production experience in Python, and at least two of: C#, C/C++, Java, Go Machine Learning & AI stacks, including: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Transformers, LLMs. Customization: fine-tuning, RAG, other related methods. MLOps & DevOps: MLflow, TFX, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD terminology and pipelines in GIT, Jira Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS BedRock, SageMaker AI, Azure Machine Learning, GCP Vertex AI, Kubernetes, Terraform Data Engineering: Apache Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Parquet, SQL, NoSQL and graph databases. Optimization & Scheduling: Constraint optimization (eg. LP), Reinforcement Learning. Education Minimum Bachelors in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Physics or OR&IE, with a focus on AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field.Masters or PhD preferred.
