Salary: $121,000 - 161,000 per year Requirements: Were looking for basic-to-intermediate experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, such as C# or Java. We value an understanding of software design principles and patterns, and the ability to share feedback on software best practices with teammates. Knowledge of CI/CD and build pipelines is expected. Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar issue-tracking tools is expected. Were looking for one year of experience working with software in quality assurance, or a high school or college education or related certificate program. Experience testing or developing front-end applications, such as web, mobile, or desktop applications, is expected. We value clear communication, attention to detail, the ability to focus on assigned work, self-sufficiency in at least one area of an automation suite, familiarity with its other components, and effective time management. Responsibilities: We expect the SDET to develop and maintain automated tests for software used by insurance market and restoration professionals, with guidance from more senior SDETs. We expect this role to support test-plan execution, primarily through automated testing and occasionally through manual testing. The SDET will build a foundational understanding of the test automation frameworks we use. We expect the SDET to help create and maintain our automated test suite and report on its status. The SDET will provide estimates to senior SDETs and flag potential challenges in meeting targets. We expect the SDET to identify, investigate, and track defects through resolution in close collaboration with our QA team. The SDET will continue manual testing while transitioning to relevant automation work. We expect the SDET to complete the responsibilities outlined in the annual performance plan, along with assigned special projects and other duties.
