JOB POSITION- FULL TIME BACKEND ENGINEER (BLOCKCHAIN WALLETS)
Aperture Cloud is an African startup that is building a crypto exchange for both spot trading and perpetual futures trading. We have many exciting and innovative features and products in the pipeline. We are looking to add to our engineering team and we are recruiting for a full time backend engineer (blockchain wallets).
Location
This is a fully remote position. We are accepting applications from worldwide candidates.
Remuneration
400-2000 USDT per month depending on skills and experience.
Requirements
·      Proficiency in Python and expertise in working with websockets
·      Proven experience in designing and implementing complex REST APIs
·      Excellent communication skills
·      Intellectually motivated and a quick learner
·      Fluent in both spoken and written English
Preferences
·      Experienced working with bitcoin and ethereum nodes and wallets, and cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal systems
·      Experienced in blockchain network fee optimisation
·      Knowledge and experience with MPC wallets, sharding methodologies, multi signature wallets
·      Experience working in the crypto exchange industry
·      Knowledgeable about and keep oneself updated regarding vulnerabilities that result in crypto exchange hacks
·      Used to reading computer science academic research relevant to blockchain wallets and their security
·      Good understanding of security principles, and software and data integrity common failures.
·      Proficient with Linux and experienced working with cloud servers (GCP, AWS)
·      Familiar with the agile development process, Github flow, and modern software engineering practices
·      Align working hours with the standard 9am-6pm UTC+1 schedule
Key Responsibilities
·      Reviewing and improving the current cold wallet architectures for the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks
·      Optimise the wallet architectures and the withdrawal transactions for the most minimal network fees and for the most security
·      Bitcoin and Ethereum nodes
·      Deposit and withdrawal systems and their security
·      Incorporating and securing new nodes and wallets for other blockchains to allow trading in more coins and tokens
·      Explore the latest wallet security technologies and methodologies to evaluate implementations that allow for instantaneous digital asset withdrawals with no security risk.
·      Wallet maintenance and sweeping
·      Performing unit tests, integrated tests, performance tests and end to end tests
·      Working on any other backend task that the startup requires to be done
