Remote AI/LLM Engineer

Salary: $105000 - 139000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. We look for 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in an Agile environment. We need hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting AI-driven solutions in production. We want proven experience building or integrating LLM-based capabilities into commercial software products. We expect a strong grasp of LLM architecture, including context handling, orchestration approaches, evaluation methods, and prompt engineering. We require practical experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, conversational AI systems, or intelligent workflow automation. We need strong proficiency in Python and modern software development practices. We look for experience with backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar tools. We require experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and distributed services. We expect experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. We need experience implementing monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability practices for production systems. We value strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills. We look for the ability to shape technical decisions through collaboration, consensus-building, and leadership. Responsibilities: We design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that power AI-enabled products and platform capabilities. We build and improve internal frameworks for LLM orchestration, prompt lifecycle management, and autonomous agent workflows. We architect systems that manage conversational context, persistent state, AI reasoning flows, and decision-making. We develop resilient APIs and data models that support seamless integration of AI services across multiple applications. We ensure our AI services meet production standards for performance, reliability, observability, scalability, and cost efficiency. We modernize and strengthen existing AI infrastructure to support higher usage and changing business needs. We collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to embed AI capabilities into customer-facing and internal solutions. We define and promote reusable architectural patterns, shared services, and best practices for AI development. We lead technical discussions, design reviews, and implementation planning. We mentor junior engineers and help foster technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning. We support recruiting efforts by evaluating candidates and participating in technical interviews. We identify process improvements and contribute to greater team effectiveness and engineering efficiency.
