The core purpose of this position is to develop a regulated digital-wallet/mobile-money product tailored for emerging markets, emphasizing high mobile-money adoption, efficient app performance on low-to-mid-tier Android devices, and robust security protocols.
Main responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain a mobile application with core features like onboarding, wallet top-up, payments, and transaction history.
– Collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless REST API integration and enforce money rules server-side.
– Implement device-level security measures, ensuring secure token storage and biometric support.
– Optimize application performance on low-end devices and poor network conditions.
– Integrate third-party SDKs for enhanced functionalities, such as eKYC and push notifications.
– Participate in the complete lifecycle of mobile app deployment, including testing, CI/CD processes, and submission to app stores.
– Adapt the app to multiple country/brand wallets through a white-label codebase.
Requirements:
– Experience in developing and shipping production-level React Native + TypeScript apps.
– Solid understanding of mobile platform fundamentals, especially for Android.
– Ability to work with native modules and tackle build issues in both Android and iOS environments.
– Hands-on mobile security practices and familiarity with OWASP MASVS.
– Strong experience with REST API integration and JWT authentication.
– Experience in quality assurance and performance optimization for mobile apps.
– Background in fintech or high-trust domains where security is paramount.
Nice to have:
– iOS production experience and knowledge of the wallet or mobile-money sector.
– Familiarity with Flutter or other cross-platform mobile development frameworks.
– Experience with multi-brand theming and white-label solutions.
– Comfort in a team utilizing AI for development process enhancement.
