About Us:
Vantage Compute is the leading provider of information security and compliance cloud solutions. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team and lead the development of backend systems.
Requirements:
\- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
\- 8+ years of experience in backend development with expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, and RDBMS (Oracle preferred).
\- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile.
\- Proficiency in design patterns and SOLID principles.
\- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
\- Proven ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion.
\- Experience working with cloud technologies and services will be added advantage.
\- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
\- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
\- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
\- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Oracle RDBMS.
\- Lead the architecture and implementation of backend components to support the organization's software applications.
\- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
\- Implement best practices for performance optimization, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
\- Drive the adoption of Agile development methodologies and participate in planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
\- Own and drive features/projects to successful completion.
\- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and support.
\- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in backend development and cloud services.
\- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
