Quality Engineering Manager

📋 Description Lead a QE team embedded in Agile squads; hiring, coaching, performance management. Own QE practice across squads; enforce release readiness standards via quality gates. Partner with Tooling, Data Engineering, and Product to identify critical automation paths and integrate into gates. Review test plans authored by your team; raise the bar on coverage, clarity, and maintainability. Own post-release quality; drive QE response and root cause analysis, feeding learnings back into gates and coverage. 🎯 Requirements 3+ years leading a quality-focused engineering team; reduce defect leakage and sustain quality. Strong judgment under ambiguity; proactive cross-functional communication; present quality metrics to leadership. Active view of AI in QE; evaluate and adopt AI to accelerate QE; ensure AI outputs are reviewed before shipping. Technical breadth and depth in QE; able to mentor ICs on test design, debugging flaky tests, and coverage decisions. Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflows or drive innovation.
