Support software quality assurance by designing and executing test cases and maintaining automation scripts.
Position Summary: The candidate will be responsible for supporting software quality assurance across applications, platforms, and business units. The role involves designing and executing test cases, developing and maintaining automation scripts, and ensuring product quality through structured validation processes. The candidate will collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to validate requirements, identify defects, and ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable solutions. This role also contributes to the implementation and continuous improvement of test strategies, automation frameworks, and QA processes. Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and data-driven applications. Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks to ensure scalability, reusability, and efficiency. Execute functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing (including load and stress testing). Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test execution reports. Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure end-to-end quality and reliability. Perform data validation and backend testing, including database verification and data integrity checks. Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define comprehensive test scenarios. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Identify, log, track, and manage defects using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms. Support defect triaging, root cause analysis, and resolution validation in collaboration with development teams. Analyse defect trends, test metrics, and quality reports to identify high-risk areas and recommend improvements. Ensure adherence to quality standards, change management processes, and compliance requirements, particularly in regulated environments. Support the implementation of CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated test execution. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Create and maintain documentation such as Wiki pages, SOPs, and reusable QA artefacts. Troubleshoot quality issues and continuously optimise testing processes and workflows. Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: Along with doing QA, collaborate with development and other cross-functional teams to create and maintain testing plans for platforms, products, and client specific solutions. Collaborate with Senior QA/ Lead to Review and validate requirements and technical specifications. Executes test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback and prioritization. Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for QA processes. Manages testing efforts across many varied projects and tasks under tight deadlines. Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying/optimizing test procedures. Follows established procedures for change management across applications where changes are necessary. Creates documentation such as WIKI articles for common processes that are repeated. Prepares effort estimates for tasks, does test planning, and understands the scope of testing very well. Minimum Required 1–3 years of experience in automation testing and QA . Experience working in the healthcare or life sciences domain . Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such as: Selenium / Playwright / Cypress Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript . Experience with test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, etc.). Experience in API testing (Postman, Rest Assured). Familiarity with Azure DevOps / Jira for test management and defect tracking. Knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure Pipelines). Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies . Preferred Qualifications Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner). Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow). Basic SQL knowledge for backend validation. Experience with data-driven testing approaches. Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) in healthcare environments. Competencies: Communication Skills : Written, Verbal, and Presentation: The successful candidate must have the ability to read, analyse, and interpret production data, financial reports, and legal documents. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal skills including ability to clearly respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees, and members of the business community. Must possess a rapid agility to reply to emails, provide instructions of work stream necessities or issues encountered, business and report writings in a succinct and informative manner.
