QA Automation (Mobile)

We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test to lead the development and expansion of our automation test suite and framework for our fintech mobile product. You will have the freedom to design, implement, and optimize our automation solutions using modern tools and technologies. Our technology stack: Java, Appium, Postman, GraphiQL, Graylog, Grafana, GitLab, AI tools (ex. Claude Code). Responsibilities Independently build and launch the automation testing process from scratch in a high-load environment using Appium Collaborate closely with QA engineers to define automation priorities and improve overall testing quality Develop, maintain and improve automated tests based on project requirements and automation tasks Design, scale, and maintain a reliable and reusable automation testing framework Assess testing risks and define automation priorities, coverage, and testing approaches Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline Prepare clear and transparent reports on automated test execution and results Drive the adoption of automation testing by mentoring QA engineers and promoting automation best practices across the team Perform manual testing tasks when necessary Requirements 3+ years of experience in test automation Proficiency in Java (or other programming language JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, etc) Hands-on experience with Appium or a similar automation framework Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman and GraphiQL, etc Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Docker, Jenkins) Ability to design effective, maintainable, and scalable automated test cases with good test coverage Understanding of HTTP and client-server communication, including request/response handling and troubleshooting Basic knowledge of SQL Experience working with log analysis and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Graylog Understanding of common software design patterns and testing best practices Familiarity with TestRail, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools English proficiency at B1 level or higher for technical discussions and reading documentation Will Be a Plus Experience mentoring other QA engineers Experience working in a product company Experience working on fintech/trading products We offer Tax expense coverage for private entrepreneurs in Ukraine Expert support and guidance for Ukrainian private entrepreneurs 20 paid vacation days per year 10 paid sick leave days per year Public holidays as per the company’s approved Public holiday list Medical insurance Opportunity to work remotely Professional education budget Language learning budget Wellness budget (gym membership, sports gear and related expenses) Originally posted on Himalayas
