About the role

Salary: $117000 - 193000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or an equivalent non-U.S. qualification directly related to the role. We require at least 5 years of experience in an engineering discipline. We require willingness and ability to travel 10–20% of the time, including domestic and international travel. For senior-level consideration, we prefer 9+ years of experience in engineering applications. We prefer 3+ years of propulsion engineering experience. We value leadership capability, including the ability to train and mentor junior engineers. We prefer experience resolving complex engine installation and integration challenges across structural, systems, and certification areas. We prefer experience leading system integration, supplier oversight, and technical decision-making in aerospace or a similar industry. We prefer strong skills in qualification testing, technical documentation, configuration control, and requirements management. We prefer knowledge of aircraft safety, certification, regulations, fuel system design and certification, and fluid mechanics. We prefer experience with the Continued Operational Safety Program (COSP). We prefer familiarity with tools such as ENOVIA, CSDT, REDARS, ETAC, IVX, IVT, CATIA, PDM, MatLab, and Velocity. We prefer experience building RCCAs, BPSMs, fault trees, and cause maps. We prefer understanding of large transport-category aircraft certification processes and 14-CFR-Part 25 certification. We require successful completion of our conflict-of-interest assessment and compliance with U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person. Responsibilities: We lead integration of propulsion and fuel system changes across airplane systems and develop robust design solutions that support product improvements. We plan, review, oversee, and approve engineering outputs to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. We maintain design oversight for supplier-provided fuel system components, including review and approval of drawings, change proposals, and configuration updates. We partner with suppliers to define and execute qualification testing and to manage supplier-driven design changes. We manage Specification Control Document requirements, including revisions and new document development. We provide factory and delivery support in North Charleston by troubleshooting production issues, supporting holds, conducting pre-delivery inspections, and assisting with delivery acceptance. We investigate and resolve fleet, production, and supplier issues to protect production flow and delivery schedules. We develop, coordinate, and publish test plans, procedures, and reports, and we analyze test, certification, and production data to support dispositions. We assess system performance data to support safety, compliance, and airworthiness work, including updates to safety analyses and airworthiness limitations. We coordinate with internal partners across engineering, safety, test, production, and regulatory functions to achieve project goals and delivery milestones. We communicate status, risks, issues, and opportunities to propulsion and program leadership, and we represent our team professionally with suppliers and external partners. We work with general supervision and direct our own activities based on customer, product, and stakeholder needs.
