Production Support Engineer

‼️ This role includes on-call duty once a month (Saturday and Sunday)ProjectJoin a team responsible for supporting critical payment applications and ensuring stable, reliable production services.You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to investigate incidents, resolve production issues, and continuously improve operational processes. The role combines production support, Linux/Unix, SQL, Kubernetes, monitoring and automation, with a strong focus on reducing manual effort and improving service resilience.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex production environments, automation, and working with modern infrastructure technologies.You willMonitor and support critical production applications, responding to incidents and service requests within agreed SLAsTroubleshoot production issues using logs, monitoring dashboards, SQL data and application behaviourInvestigate incidents in Unix/Linux environments using standard command-line tools.Coordinate recovery activities with development, engineering and infrastructure teams.Participate in root cause analysis and post-incident reviewsImprove monitoring, reduce alert noise and increase operational resilienceCreate and maintain operational documentation, runbooks and knowledge articlesAutomate repetitive operational tasks using Bash, PowerShell or PythonDevelop simple tools and scripts that improve team efficiencyUse AI productivity tools such as Copilot or Claude to support automation, documentation and operational analysisSupport deployments, patching, disaster recovery exercises and platform maintenanceReview operational readiness of changes and identify potential production support risksCommunicate service status and recovery progress to relevant stakeholdersMust have4+ years of experience in Production Support, Application Support or IT Operations, preferably within financial servicesHands-on knowledge of Unix/Linux, including log analysis and application troubleshootingAbility to write and troubleshoot SQL queriesScripting experience with Bash, PowerShell or PythonPractical experience supporting and maintaining Kubernetes environmentsExperience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus or similarGood understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and distributed applicationsWorking knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change Management processesExperience improving operational processes through automation and continuous improvementPractical experience with AI productivity tools such as Copilot, Claude or similarVery good English and strong communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with global teamsNice to haveKnowledge of payment systems or payment processingExperience with Oracle, Kafka, MQ or WebSphereExperience supporting Disaster Recovery exercisesITIL certificationOur offerRelocation package (4500 PLN total value), paid in three installments (1500 PLN per month) in case your permanent presence in the office is mandatory, and you need to relocate from another cityBenefits: Extended medical care (over 2000 medical facilities in Poland, 80 in Kraków) for you and your family; Multisport Benefit card; life insurance
