Product Development Engineer

Salary: $91000 - 133000 per year Requirements: We want 2-5+ years of experience in product development, robotics, or software/hardware engineering, with consumer robotics or connected devices experience preferred. We expect a BS in Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. We look for strong technical fluency in robotics technologies and a record of delivering consumer-focused products. We value excellent communication skills, including the ability to contribute effectively in technical reviews and leadership discussions. We need proven capability to manage several cross-functional programs at the same time. We appreciate a mindset centered on iteration, transparency, and continuous learning across product cycles. Responsibilities: We lead the technical roadmap for our robot portfolio by managing requirements, prioritizing enhancements, and advancing technologies such as SLAM, AI, and connectivity. We define and refine product specifications that align consumer insight, market opportunity, and engineering feasibility. We conduct competitive benchmarking to identify opportunities for leadership in performance, reliability, and user experience. We partner with Test and Quality to establish and oversee validation protocols across firmware, hardware, and system-level testing. We own project schedules across multiple robot programs in a fast-moving environment. We serve as the technical authority on legacy platforms, turning field data and consumer feedback into next-generation product decisions. We coordinate with external suppliers and software vendors to safeguard technical requirements and intellectual property.
