In this role, you will own Ironwood Digital's DevOps strategy, building and scaling the infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational practices that power our production, QA, and development environments. You will set the technical direction for reliability, deployment, and cloud efficiency. Define and drive Ironwood Digital's DevOps strategy: infrastructure, deployment, observability, and cloud efficiency Architect and maintain stable, secure, and efficient infrastructure across production, QA, and development environments Lead CI/CD and GitOps practices from build, packaging, and deployment pipelines through to continuous improvement Drive DORA metrics improve lead time for changes, deployment frequency, time to restore service, and change failure rate Standardize Infrastructure as Code practices: Terraform, Ansible, Packer across Ironwood Digital's engineering teams Partner with Engineering, Security, and Compliance to ensure infrastructure meets banking-grade reliability and security requirements Optimize cloud costs while ensuring scalable, performant infrastructure Mentor senior engineers and help drive adoption of DevOps best practices across the organization Your Skills and Experience Experience 8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering, with prior experience in a Principal, Staff, or technical leadership role Proven track record of operating production systems at scale, ideally in fintech, banking, or another regulated environment Experience driving infrastructure strategy and standards across multiple engineering teams Skills & Expertise Deep expertise in container orchestration, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm Strong experience with CI/CD and GitOps: GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Helm Charts/Helmfile Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code : Terraform, Ansible, Packer Experience with public cloud platforms : AWS preferred Proficient in scripting and automation : Bash, Python (or Go/Java for tooling) Strong understanding of observability : logging, tracing, and monitoring Familiarity with secrets management (HashiCorp Vault) and infrastructure security best practices Experience supporting databases and messaging systems at scale Professional working English : Collaboration with Ironwood Digital's local and Kredivo's regional teams Attributes Builds influence through technical credibility, not authority Pragmatic: balances long-term architecture with short-term delivery Comfortable shaping direction in ambiguous, fast-moving environments Strong sense of ownership and operational rigor : you treat reliability as a first-class engineering concern Bonus Points Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries Hands-on with cloud cost optimization at scale Background in Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevEx teams Why You'll Love Working Here Our deliverable is a leading software that is changing the way people do banking.
