Principal Product Designer, Design Systems

📋 Description Audit existing components and live experiences with AI tools to map gaps and unify the system. Own Cobalt Streamworks's token architecture (color, typography, spacing, motion) as the single source of truth. Design token systems that scale across internal tools and customer-facing apps. Establish and maintain Figma-to-code parity with engineering on the token-to-component pipeline. Introduce new components and patterns as Cobalt Streamworks expands into new domains. Define contribution model and governance with automation to guard against fragmentation. 🎯 Requirements 7+ years of visual/product design experience with design-systems focus. Track record taking a design system from audit to adoption. Fluency in token architecture (primitive/semantic/component) and Figma for systems. Experience using AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate tasks. Ability to influence without authority across a federated org.
