Principal Java Engineer

What will you do? You will work on building a modern, in-house FX trading platform supporting pricing, booking, routing, risk management and valuations. You will be part of a DevOps-oriented team delivering microservices in close collaboration with business stakeholders, contributing directly to a high-performance, low-latency trading environment.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with Java 17+ Knowledge of concurrency and low-latency programming Experience with data structures and functional programming Experience with REST APIs and messaging technologies Knowledge of TDD and unit testing frameworks Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices Strong communication skills Ability to work in agile teams Problem-solving mindset and adaptability Experience with AI coding assistants Openness to work hybrid from our client's office (Kraków) 8 days a month Nice to have Knowledge of Foreign Exchange domain Interest in trading systems Experience with open source contributions Passion for software development outside of work

Daily tasks: - Develop high-quality Java code for distributed systems
– Automate testing and deployment for frequent releases
– Collaborate with product owners and business on requirements
– Design and build microservices architecture
– Monitor production systems and ensure stability
– Take ownership of services across the full lifecycle
– Implement low-latency and concurrent solutions
