Design and implement core data platform capabilities and mentor engineers in a collaborative environment.
📋 Description Design and implement core data platform capabilities (ingestion, CDC, streaming). Define and uphold SLOs for data freshness, availability, correctness. Author ADRs/RFCs; land data contracts and schema governance. Profile, tune, and right-size systems for performance and cost. Pair with product teams and analytics/ML to unblock value quickly. Contribute high-quality code; mentor Staff/Sr. engineers. 🎯 Requirements 10+ years building distributed data systems (Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Iceberg). Data ingestion/CDC, stream/batch processing, lakehouse, catalog/lineage, governance. AI/GenAI in data platforms: semantic search, auto-docs, DQ, SQL/pipeline generation.
