Principal Cyber Support Developer

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree, or 4+ years of additional experience in place of a degree. We need 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity operations, or software development. We require proficiency in Linux system administration and scripting. We need demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Lua (LUA) scripts. We require experience with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and routers. We require an active IAT Level II certification, such as GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CISSP, or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire. We require an active TS/SCI with polygraph. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of cybersecurity architecture principles such as defense in depth, resilience, and integrated security operations. Preferred qualifications include experience designing, implementing, and managing database schemas. Preferred qualifications include experience applying schema hardening practices, including access controls, input validation, least-privilege permissions, secure configuration, and vulnerability mitigation. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with COTS CDS technologies on the NCDSMO approved product list. Preferred qualifications include the ability to apply security principles to systems and enterprise system designs. Preferred qualifications include understanding of cloud computing and virtualized networked environments. Preferred qualifications include experience with Information Assurance concepts and A&A documentation preparation. Responsibilities: We use Linux and scripting expertise to support and deploy Enterprise Cross Domain Solutions that enable secure data transfers. We engineer and roll out capabilities that add functionality, improve system performance and availability, and increase efficiency in operational maintenance. We support Assessment and Authorization activities related to CDS technologies. We identify potential conflicts arising from CDS technology implementation across the enterprise and recommend remediation approaches. We help complete project milestones to meet customer requirements. We develop plans to protect computer files from unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. We travel up to 25% of the year to CONUS and OCONUS customer locations as needed. We remain stationary for about 50% of the workday, operate office productivity equipment, and communicate regularly with coworkers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations.
