PLC Programmer / SCADA Specialist

Salary: $145000 - 192000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in engineering or a closely related discipline. We are looking for at least 5 years of PLC programming experience, ideally with Schneider Electric platforms. We need experience with Ignition SCADA and industrial communication protocols. We value knowledge of utility-scale power generation, renewable energy, or battery energy storage systems. We expect experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT testing, and diagnosing complex control systems. We need strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving abilities. We require the ability to travel up to 25%. Preferred qualifications include experience on utility-scale renewable energy projects. Preferred qualifications also include familiarity with grid interconnection standards and energy storage technologies. Familiarity with NERC CIP cybersecurity requirements is preferred. Responsibilities: We develop and maintain PLC programs on Schneider Electric M340/M580 platforms. We design and refine control logic for utility-scale battery energy storage and solar applications. We integrate PLCs with SCADA, HMI, historian, and OPC environments. We configure and troubleshoot Modbus, DNP3, and related industrial communication networks. We lead FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system integration testing activities. We support PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing requirements. We act as a technical subject matter expert for controls architecture and automation best practices. We create functional requirement documents, technical documentation, code libraries, and programming standards. We support cybersecurity and regulatory compliance initiatives, including NERC CIP requirements.
