Platform Engineer

Responsibilities: Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Feedzai's core platform and Risk Engine Build and maintain high-performance, scalable, and resilient backend services Work across the full software development lifecycle, from design to production support Write clean, reusable, and testable code, participating actively in code reviews Support the evolution towards a microservices and cloud-native architecture Ensure system reliability through observability, automation, and operational best practices Participate in production support and on-call rotations for critical systems (with compensation) Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, and Engineering Contribute to engineering best practices, technical guidelines, and continuous improvement Participate in recruitment and help attract top engineering talent Requirements: 3+ years of experience in backend software development, preferably with Java Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (mandatory) Strong foundation in computer science principles and software engineering best practices Experience building high-performance, concurrent backend systems Familiarity with distributed systems and messaging/data platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Spark, Cassandra) Experience with cloud environments and modern software architecture patterns Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently Interest in scalable systems, performance optimization, and system reliability Bonus: contributions to open-source projects Strong motivation to learn, grow, and challenge technical constraints Enthusiastic?
