Platform Engineer

Requirements:
What makes you a great fit Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native platform engineering concepts Practical experience operating or developing for Kafka, PostgreSQL, YugaByteDB, or other stateful distributed systems A solid understanding of reliability engineering, observability, incident response, and safe production change Experience building automation or selfservice tooling that improves developer experience and reduces operational toil Good judgement, strong collaboration skills, a track record of engaging positively with users of an internal platform, and the ability to balance technical depth with pragmatic delivery Strong software engineering skills, with experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code It would be great if you also had Experience building Kubernetes operators or controllers, ideally in Go Familiarity with AWS managed data services such as RDS, Aurora, or related database tooling Exposure to multi-region architecture, disaster recovery, or distributed database patterns

Daily tasks: - As a Stateful Platform Engineer, you will build and operate the shared Kafka and database platform capabilities that help engineers deliver safely, reliably, and with less manual toil.
– Deliver changes to Kafka, PostgreSQL, YugaByteDB, and other stateful platform components in a controlled, well-tested manner
– Build self-service platform capabilities through Kubernetes-native interfaces, automation, and reusable tooling
– Improve the developer experience by simplifying provisioning, reducing ticketdriven workflows, and creating clearerplatform golden paths
– Design and implement solutions that improve resilience, security, scalability, and operational safety for stateful workloads
– Investigate incidents, performance issues, and capacity risks, then turn findings into durable platform improvements
– Define and improve observability, alerting, SLOs, dashboards, and runbooks for critical stateful services
– Work on platform software such as operators, controllers, and supporting services that manage shared infrastructure at scale
– Collaborate with product and engineering teams on platform adoption, technical design, and the safe use of shared data and messaging systems
