Onsite Network Infrastructure Engineer TS/SCI

Salary: $122000 - 168000 per year Requirements: We require an active TS/SCI security clearance. We require a bachelors degree in a related field, or at least 3 years of proven experience in network or infrastructure engineering. We look for familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including GitLab CI for CI/CD workflows. We expect proficiency in Linux server administration and shell scripting for automation. We require experience automating infrastructure provisioning with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. We need strong knowledge of cloud and hypervisor platforms, especially AWS and XenServer. We require experience with software installation, package management tools such as apt and yum, and basic scripting for automation. We look for hands-on experience designing and delivering LAN, WAN, and cloud-based network architectures. We require experience building and maintaining metadata storage solutions, including distributed databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB. We value knowledge of certificate management for secure communications and troubleshooting authentication issues. For the infrastructure engineer track, we require a bachelors degree in a related field and 3 years of proven experience in infrastructure engineering or a related discipline, with additional experience considered in lieu of a degree. We prefer certifications such as ISSR or DCID 6/3. We look for strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively. Responsibilities: We design, implement, and maintain standalone and integrated network and communications architectures. We provide secure design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance for command, control, and data transmission capabilities. We advise on and deliver custom electronics and technology solutions to address critical capability gaps and emerging operational needs. We support the integration of capabilities, updates and upgrades, data sources, dissemination paths, and extensible API development. We work with field sets, legacy field devices, and emerging transceiver technologies. We evaluate current and future operator requirements and help incorporate them into users Concept of Operations. We integrate new technologies into local and wide area networks. We troubleshoot complex network issues and drive effective problem resolution. We administer networking hardware, including routers, switches, gateways, access points, NICs, cables, bridges, modems, ISDN adapters, firewalls, and related equipment. We provide on-site support for classified networks that enable command, control, and communications. We support security testing and accreditation activities.
